Flax Seed Bread

This is a very moist bread that you can enjoy at any time. Absolutely delicious toasted too!  The addition of the flax seed is a plus for your digestive system with the added fiber.


In a bread machine container, place the following ingredients in the order listed:

  • 1 12 cups warm water
  • 3 Tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup whole flax seed
  • 12 cup ground flax seed
  • 1 14 cup whole wheat flour
  • 2 cups white all purpose flour
  • 1 Tablespoon dry yeast (can use instant)


  1. When all the ingredients are in the container, then press the button for the regular loaf.
  2. When done, the bread will have the aroma of just coming from the bakery!
  3. Will keep well for a couple of days – no need to refrigerate.  Also can be frozen.
